UBUD

Monkey Forest
Monkey Forest it is a must see in Ubud. It is a forest where you can meet countless number of monkeys. It is a great fun to buy bunch of bananas to feed the monkeys, that is the only possible way to give them some food. You can meet there sweet monkey baby which will jump on your backpack or clothes it is a perfect chance for a good photo however you should be careful if their mother is nearby it is better not to touch them. Overall it is a great fun to walk around the forest, you can spend there up to 2 hours and constantly be surprised by number of monkeys in that forest.
Monkey Forest is located at the end of Monkey Forest Road it is one of the main streets in Ubud. The street is full of great restaurants and shops with local souvenirs.

Dance Performance at Ubud Palace
Visit Ubud Palace during the day and join for famous dance performance in the night. Kecak and fire performance is something unique and it is a must see while being in Ubud. It is a great activity to do before or after diner. You can either sit on the seats or on the floor in front of the dancers, where you can see the face expression of the dancers and fully enjoy the show.
Saraswati Temple
It is another Hindu temple located close to the main street however it is not easy to spot it hence it can be easily missed. One of the biggest advantages is an amazing garden full of lotus flowers - symbol of Hindu religion. Here you can also watch famous Kecak dance and fire show. Temple was built to honor God Serasawati, the God of Knowledge. This temple is slightly different than any other, wonderful pool is one of the main attractions of the temple, you can also see sculpture artists, their job is reflected in almost every element of the temple.
Tegalalang Rice Field
Tegalalang is one of the most famous rice fields in Bali. It is located approximately 10km from the City of Ubud. During the relaxing walk in Ubud you can take a photo with equipment used by farmers to harvest the rice, you can also take a photo with local farmers if they agree.
If you are not afraid of height you definitely want to experience Bali Swing. Swings are located in the rice fields. During the swing you will be secured with seat belts. The view from the swing is breathtaking it is also opportunity for perfect Instagram photo which you cannot miss.
Tirta Empul
Temple was built in X century for the Wishnu Hindus’ God. His great statue is located in the square in front of the temple. According to some of the people it is the most mysterious temple in Bali.You can take part in the ritual which encourage many Hindus to visit the temple each year. It is a ritual bath in the water.
Balinese believe that the water in the temple has a magic power. Do not forget to bring your own bottle to store some of holy water for later. Other part of the temple where pilgrims pray is filled with smoke of incense. All architectural complex is considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of Balinese architecture.
Tegenungan Waterfall (20 mins)
One of many waterfalls in Bali, located on the way to the rice fields. From the car parking it require approximately 20 minutes of walking, to get there you mostly walk on stairs hence is not difficult to get there. It is recommended to do that in the morning, to avoid walking in the full sun. Definitely it is worth to see that magical waterfall. If the level of water is sufficient you can even swim there.
Luwak Coffee Plantation (coffee testing)
Once you are in Bali why not to try Luwak Coffee, it is the most expensive coffee due to the specific way of its production. Animal Luwak is eating only the best seeds of coffee and thanks to digestion process in its stomach beans are selected. Later they are washed and burn in traditional way. During the walk in Luwak Coffee Plantation you will familiarize yourself with that process and you will try different types of coffee and tea. At the end of the trip you can buy Luwak Coffee as well as many different types of coffee and tea.

Elephant Cave - Goa Gajah
The Goa Gajah was listed as a tentative UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. Located approximately 10 minutes outside of Ubud. It is a must see for lovers of archaeology. It is known as the Elephant Cave because it is located near by Elephant River. The entrance to Goa Gajah looks like a demonic mouth suggesting that people are entering an underworld. Some claim that the entrance represents the Hindu earth God Bhoma while others say the mouth belongs to the child-eating god from Balinese mythology.
Bali Bird Park
Bali Bird Park and Reptile Park is a unique and educational attraction for the whole family, consider that if you are travelling with children, they will definitely love that. Enjoy the walk in tropical gardens where you can see nearly thousand of exotic birds from the Indonesia archipelago and all around the world. It is a fun and attractive playground for bird lovers and good alternative trip, on the way you can also visit gold and silversmith’s village of Celuk and Mas.
Campuhan Ridge Walk
If you are fan of trekking there is amazing Campuhan Ridge Walk located close to the Monkey Forest. It is definitely worth to consider that while visiting the forest. Walking in the beautiful tropical jungle is relaxing, you can see beautiful hills and hear the calming sound of the trees, there are also many spots to take a great photo. It definitely on the list of the best must do walks in Ubud.
